Welcome to the club membership page for the Mad River Riders! We are the largest, oldest, best and only bike club based in the Mad River Valley.

The Mad River Valley (Waitsfield, Warren, Fayston, Moretown, Duxbury) offers some of Vermont’s most challenging climbs including the Appalachian Gap, the Lincoln Gap, the Roxbury Gap and the Moretown Gap. In addition to all that climbing we also have great technical single track riding and plenty of fun dirt roads. The club is fully integrated allowing both road and mountain bikers the benefits of membership!

The club has many activities in season including weekly road and mountain bike group rides, monthly road time trials, club social events, and also supports the Green Mountain Stage Race which is one of the largest stage races in North America. A number of club members participate (road, mountain, or triathlon). There are always weekend rides of varying distances and speeds.

So what do you get for your hard earned membership dollars? In addition to all the great group riding and socializing opportunities club supporters also offer discounts to members. These discounts are updated on the club webpage and as new discounts are offered we will email them to the membership. With these discounts you can easily save the equivalent of your club membership cost. The club also undertakes trail maintenance and this year in conjunction with the Vermont Mountain Bike Association a grant for $9000 has been awarded to improve the Cyclone Trail located in Howe Block of the Camels Hump State Forest. The club will continue to be part of VMBA and will join the Vermont Bike/Ped statewide group to work to improve riding in Vermont and the laws that govern everyone on the road. We plan to have a club clothing order this year as well and will get more information out to club members soon!
