The Mad River Rippers youth mountain bike program is gearing up for Summer 2019!
The Rippers is a mountain bike program for young people in the Mad River Valley, open to all kids, regardless of home address. Rides are based at the Blueberry Lake trail network. The program is open to anyone from 2 year olds on strider bikes to middle and high school kids. Rides are every Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM from May 28 through September. The program is free, but registration is required. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for a registration form.
Riders are placed into small groups based on age, experience, and riding style. Each group is teamed up with experienced and trained adult riders. If you’ve never ridden singletrack, you’ll learn how. If you already ride, you’ll get a lot better. You’ll definitely have fun and you can end the day with a swim in the lake. Parents are welcome to ride with us.
In addition to the regular rides at Blueberry Lake, there will be optional advanced rides for older kids who are confident riding singletrack. The advanced rides will rotate through various locations in the Mad River Valley. The advanced rides are also Tuesdays from 5 to 7 PM. If you’re interested in the advanced rides, just let us know by email.
